V is quite terrible.

I mean, the first episode could have been the first season. They could have shown more of how the V “better” the world and help to solve the worlds problems. They could have made us care a little bit more about the main characters. They could have postponed the big “reveal” of what the V actually are until at least three quarters of the way through season one instead of dumping it right in the first episode.

Instead they crammed a whole season into one episode and did so with some cheeseball acting and dialogue. I mean, the FBI agents son and his friend are just ridiculous.

I could have overlooked bad acting and ham fisted storytelling if the concept was not just good enough (which it is), if they kept me wanting more at the end of each episode by leaving small clues and teasers (see: Defying Gravity) but they just made the whole thing super simple. No mystery, just alien invaders and a resistance.

Blah.

We’ll see if the show is still around for a second season. If it is I might give it a second chance myself.
