11.17Free Care
I disagree somewhat with what Ron Paul says about letting the free market work on the health care system. I think because there is always high demand for healthcare (because it is a necessity, at least now, for people) that it inevitably causes high prices and lack of care for those who don’t have money.
But what he says, very briefly, about church hospitals providing free care reminded me of a previous post I wrote about Christians not being in debt and therefore being able to give more.
What if we could actually heal the sick? You know, like we’re supposed to? And what if we did it as charity? You know, like we’re supposed to?
Wouldn’t that be a witness to the world?
However, I don’t blame people for seeing government healthcare as the solution to the problem. It’s too expensive, American Christians have failed to provide what they are supposed to, so it’s up to the government to attempt to fill the gaps.
